I was so excited to receive this in my order. Soon as I got it from the package I started slipping it over my head, only to get it stuck around my chest. My husband had to help pry it off of me, because it was well and fully stuck. On closer inspection, I realized my mistake. This Jasmine piece is not a skirt. It is pants. Absolutely gorgeous flowing pants that swish and flutter while you walk. I wear this in my regular style now and get comments all the time. It is a delight to tell those people, "I'm going to blow your mind" and simply spread my legs to reveal the fact it's pants. The fabric feels high quality, and the garment itself is hefty. But it is a gorgeous addition to a wardrobe and feels like a timeless piece that will hold up well. The only thing that would make it better is pockets
For anyone who usually wear pants, but wants the look and comfort of a skirt, these are for you. I found them years ago ad bought them in every color. I mostly use mine for going to Ren Faires. It's one of my many base layers with either other HC overdress/tops or my own shirts and bodices. I love the way they hang and look like a full skirt, but are very comfy pants. I've used them as a "slip" under maxi dresses too instead of tight polyester or nylon traditional slips. I'm not a skirt type, but I love these! Helps on those hot faire days when all you need for the layered look is a long shirt and a bodice. Or a shorter skirt on top for better air flow. There's a lot of volume at the bottom, but are very easy to move in.
These are so comfortable, and swishy and nice and cool in the summer. I am back to buy another pair! One and only drawback? NO POCKETS! Please add pockets to the Jasmine pants! Oh! And make them in Barbie Pink! And Basil!
I adore the Jasmine Classic. They are wonderfully flattering and they get nothing but compliments, even from random people on the street. The way they are cut makes them looks like a swishy skirt, but they have all the practicality of trousers. I hope HC will always keep these beauties in stock!
