1. Become your own version of Lady Marian with our Marion chemise. The name Marion is a variant of Marian, the latter of which became popular in the Middle Ages. We chose to return to the roots of the name to add a splash of individuality and look back on its history before it was introduced to civilisations outside of France.
  
  Like its namesake, the word “chemise” is also French. This loanword describes a garment that has historically been worn under dresses, gowns, and robes. The chemise is seen as an undergarment, meant to have other clothing layered on top of it.
  
  Our Marion chemise has a design that was meant to allow the wearer to tie up their sleeves so that they wouldn’t get in the way. Because of this, the Marion is suitable to be worn in any situation and underneath any of our overdresses.
  
  HolyClothing fans have often wished for an underdress with tighter-fitting sleeves that can be worn around ritual fires and campfires without the worry of the flames licking at the fabric. Marion is our answer to that wish, and we hope you love it as much as we do.
