I'm 5'8" with an hourglass to pear-shaped figure. My shoulders are relatively narrow, and I have a short waist but have very long legs. Venus falls at about upper calf-length on me in the shorter parts of the hem and just touches my ankles at the longer parts. To get the right fit in the bosom and hips, I had to order a 3X, a 2X would have been too tight across the chest. As a result I have to shorten the straps slightly, an easy fix.

This dress is gorgeous and extremely comfortable for someone who is 37 weeks pregnant. The uneven hem works very well with a baby bump and I feel like an earth goddess mama in all three of the Venus dresses I ordered in different colors. I hadn't ordered Salmon Rose before but was very, very pleased with the shade - it's much richer than it looks in the photos on the site. (Posted on 10/4/12)

After reading the reviews, I bought this dress for my birthday in burgundy wine and size small. (Thanks to a previous reviewer's advice, I went down a size.) I wore it for the first time at a show this weekend, wanting something with a little flare for dancing. This dress did not disappoint. I felt like a gypsy goddess and even received compliments from the lead singer of the band! Thank you, kind folks at HolyClothing! You made my birthday weekend a hit!

I bought the Venus in Blue Divine to wear to my son's wedding and it was the best decision I could have made. The dress was a darker blue than on the site (almost a sapphire) but it fit really well and SO easy to wear. The smocking across the back holds you in nicely and the dress does not ride up or bind in any way when you are wearing it. It is effortlessly flawless on and was really cool and comfortable in the 100-degree fahrenheit heat. Great materials and first class construction. Get one!!! (Posted on 8/16/12)
